Rob Schrab In Person!
SHOCKING DARK / ROBOWAR

Somewhere, fifteen minutes into the dark future, between BLADE RUNNER and TERMINATOR, there is a neo-noir world of cyborgs, tranqs, skin-jobs and space marines built by Cameron wanna-bes strung out on Nuke … THE CYBERPUNK MEGAZONE. Join Rob Schrab as he presents a double feature of sci-fi action films from the forgotten future of the ’90s.

Introduction by Rob Schrab.
SHOCKING DARK
1989, AGFA, 90 min, Italy, Dir: Bruno Mattei

For writers Claudio Fragasso and Rossella Drudi (TROLL 2) and director Bruno Mattei (ZOMBI 3, CRUEL JAWS), their final and most notorious collaboration went beyond brazen plagiarism to become a fearless act of deranged genius. In this bravura dual rip-off of ALIENS and TERMINATOR, a team of badass marines ... a tough female civilian ... and an orphaned girl battle monsters beneath the Venice canals while chased by an indestructible killer cyborg ... with everything careening towards one of the ultimate WTF twist endings. Geretta Geretta (DEMONS) and Tony Lombardo (RATS: NIGHTS OF TERROR) star in this “schlockfest of awesome” (Cool Target), which was released internationally in the late ‘80s as both TERMINATOR II and ALIENATORS.

30th Anniversary!

ROBOWAR
ROBOT DA GUERRA
1988, Flora Film, 92 min, Italy, Dir: Bruno Mattei

Ever seen PREDATOR? Well, the makers of ROBOWAR sure did. Reb Brown (YOR: HUNTER FROM THE FUTURE) leads a squad of commandos through the unforgiving jungles for some reason while being stalked by a robotic killer wearing a motorcycle helmet.
