Double Feature! Actress Marthe Keller In Person!
Presented by the Consulate General of Switzerland and the French Film and TV Office, French Embassy

Swiss-born Marthe Keller began her film career in Germany in the mid-1960s; a decade later, she was working in Hollywood alongside the likes of Bruce Dern (BLACK SUNDAY) and Al Pacino (BOBBY DEERFIELD). Recent years have taken Keller to the stage as an actress and opera director, and her presence continues to light up screens in new films such as AU GALOP.

1976, Paramount, 125 min, USA, Dir: John Schlesinger

Nail-biting political thriller with Dustin Hoffman investigating the death of his government agent brother, Roy Scheider - and running smack into Nazi-on-the-run Laurence Olivier, in one of his most wildly entertaining performances. Marthe Keller earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Hoffman’s ill-fated girlfriend.

2012, Pyramid Distribution, 93 min, France, Dir: Louis-Do de Lencquesaing

Writer-director Louis-Do de Lencquesaing makes his feature debut with this film, in which he also stars as Paul Bastherlain, a writer living with his teenage daughter. Coworker Ada (Valentina Cervi of TV’s “True Blood”) is married with a child of her own, but when Paul’s father dies, she begins an affair with Paul that throws both lives into overdrive. Costarring Marthe Keller as Paul’s suddenly widowed mother, this warm and knowing dramedy has much to say about how love evolves as we move through life. In French with English subtitles.
