Orangey the Cat Double Feature!

Arguably the greatest actor of his kind (that kind being of the feline variety), Orangey the Cat won Patsy Awards - the animal kingdom’s equivalent of the Oscar - for his roles as Holly Golightly's "poor old slob" in BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S and as RHUBARB, a pet who inherits his owners' fortune, which just happens to include a pro baseball team (!).

From 2:30PM until intermission between films, Stray Cat Alliance and Kitten Rescue will sponsor a cat adoption at the theatre and take donations.

1961, Paramount, 115 min, Dir: Blake Edwards

When Audrey Hepburn’s girl-about-town Holly Golightly meets handsome nice guy George Peppard, she begins to gradually rethink her anything-goes, high-living lifestyle. Adapted from Truman Capote’s best-selling romance by director Blake Edwards (THE PINK PANTHER, THE PARTY) and featuring arguably Henry Mancini’s greatest score.

1951, Paramount, 94 min, USA, Dir: Arthur Lubin

Two-time Patsy Award winner Orangey stars as Rhubarb, a kitty who inherits a sizable sum of money and pro baseball team the Brooklyn Loons when his millionaire owner (Gene Lockhart) dies. The team protests being owned by a cat, so the Loons manager (Ray Milland) must come up with ways of convincing the ball players that the feline is good luck. With Jan Sterling.

Screening formats: 35mm (BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S) and DVD (RHUBARB)
