SLEEPWALKERS
1992, Sony Repertory, 91 min, USA, Dir: Mick Garris

The titular creatures in this chiller feed on the lifeforce of female virgins, so when new-kid-in-town Charles Brady (Brian Krause) takes an interest in classmate Tanya (Mädchen Amick), it’s not just because she has a pretty face. The sleepwalkers (Charles’ mom, played by Alice Krige, is also one of the supernatural beings) have telekinetic and shape-shifting powers, making them a formidable threat - but they have one weakness. In addition to penning the screenplay, Stephen King makes a cameo appearance, along with such other horror heavyweights as Clive Barker, Joe Dante and John Landis.
